National Science Week was recently launched in Martin Place; nothing like turning Sydney’s CBD into an engaging site filled with science fun for adults and children alike! We found ourselves dancing with Winnie the Muttaburrasaurus from the Australian Museum, interacting with various creatures from Taronga Zoo, eating liquid nitrogen chocolate/blue vein cheese ice-cream with Galit Food Innovation, checking radioactivity levels with ANSTO and more. A bit of fun was watching Simon Pampena go through his Maths comedy routine… yes, you read that correctly!

The interesting addition to National Science Week this year was augmented reality of dinosaurs within the CBD. Called ‘Jurassic Science Week, this funded app found us chasing a Pteranodon flying through the CBD to get a photo. Lots of fun… hey, we finally cornered that flying reptile below… looking forward to more science festivities to come over the next few days.
